Scale
Main Ingredients:
- 4 ears of corn, cut into 1.5-inch round pieces (about 16 pieces)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Seasoning:
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Finishing Touches:
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Corn: Cut the ears of corn into round pieces, about 1.5 inches thick. Rinse and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Season the Corn: In a large mixing bowl, toss the corn rounds with vegetable oil until evenly coated. In a small bowl, mix together the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the corn and toss again to coat thoroughly.
- Fry the Corn: Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned corn pieces in a single layer and fry for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the edges are golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and, if desired, toss with melted butter for extra richness. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- You can also air-fry the corn pieces at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
