Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Dough
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Filling
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup baby spinach, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Finishing
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it ready for baking the pizza rolls to a perfect golden brown.
- Roll Out Dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick, ensuring even thickness for uniform baking.
- Spread Sauce: Evenly spread the pizza sauce all over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges to prevent overflow during baking.
- Add Fillings: Sprinkle the shredded vegan mozzarella, sliced black olives, diced bell peppers, and chopped baby spinach evenly over the sauce. Then season with dried oregano and garlic powder to enhance the flavors.
- Roll Dough: Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log to enclose all the fillings securely inside.
- Slice Rolls: Slice the rolled log into 12 even pieces to create individual pizza rolls and place them cut side up on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with Olive Oil: Lightly brush the tops of each roll with olive oil to promote browning and a flavorful crust.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the vegan cheese has melted.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid burning and enhance flavor.
Notes
- Serve with extra marinara sauce or vegan ranch dressing for dipping to complement the flavors.
- Customize fillings by adding mushrooms, vegan pepperoni, or sun-dried tomatoes for variety.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispness.
