Description

Delight in these decadent Strawberry Shortcake Truffles featuring golden Oreos, freeze-dried strawberries, and creamy white chocolate. This no-bake dessert is easy to make and perfect for parties or a sweet treat any time.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 20 golden Oreos (crushed)
  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries (finely crushed)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating and Topping

  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1/4 cup crushed golden Oreos and freeze-dried strawberries (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a food processor, pulse the golden Oreos and freeze-dried strawberries until they are finely ground. Transfer this mixture into a bowl and stir in the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Shape the Truffles: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze these balls for 20–30 minutes until firm to prepare them for coating.
  3. Melt the White Chocolate: While the truffles chill, melt the white chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring between each until smooth.
  4. Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and immediately sprinkle with the crushed Oreo-strawberry topping for added texture and flavor.
  5. Set the Coating: Let the white chocolate coating set at room temperature or place the tray in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes until the coating is firm.
  6. Store Properly: Keep the truffles in an airtight container stored in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and texture until serving.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture and richness.
  • If golden Oreos are unavailable, vanilla sandwich cookies are a suitable substitute.
  • For added flair, drizzle the coated truffles with pink candy melts or sprinkle with decorative sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
