Description

Indulge in a delicious single-serve banana bread that is quick and easy to make. This moist and flavorful treat is perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings without the need to bake a whole loaf.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium ripe banana mashed
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small ramekin or oven-safe mug.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a small bowl, mash the banana until smooth. Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix until just incorporated. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
  4. Bake: Transfer the batter into the prepared ramekin. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving warm.
