Seasoning:

- ½ cup tomato paste
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
Instructions
- Season and Sear: Pat brisket dry and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and thyme. Sear brisket on all sides until well browned.
- Prepare Ingredients: Sauté onions and garlic, then add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, cayenne, and apple cider vinegar.
- Cook in Crock Pot: Place brisket in the crock pot, pour the onion mixture over it, and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–5 hours.
- Rest and Serve: Let brisket rest before slicing. Optionally, thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry.
