Description

  • 1/2 cup dried mixed fruit or raisins
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Rub in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in sugar and dried fruit.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a small bowl, beat the egg, milk, and vanilla, then add to the dry ingredients. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Bake: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
