- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup ketchup
For Serving:
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil: In a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook beef: Until browned, about 5–6 minutes.
- Add vegetables: Onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic; cook until softened, about 4–5 minutes.
- Season: Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Thicken sauce: Whisk cornstarch into beef broth, add to skillet with ketchup, simmer until thickened.
- Melt cheese: Reduce heat, place provolone over beef mixture, cover until melted.
- Assemble: Spoon beef mixture onto toasted buns and serve hot.
