  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. Create Caramel Pecan Layer: Melt 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup until smooth. Pour into pan, add pecans.
  3. Prepare Cake Batter: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Mix in sour cream, dry ingredients, and milk.
