- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- ½ cup sour cream
Additional:
- 1 cup diced fresh or canned peaches (drained if using canned)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for tossing peaches)
- Optional glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar, 1–2 tablespoons peach juice or milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla and almond extract. Mix in the sour cream until smooth.
- Prepare peaches: Toss the diced peaches with 1 tablespoon flour, then gently fold them into the batter.
- Combine ingredients: Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
- Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and glaze: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and peach juice or milk, then drizzle over the loaf before serving.
