  • 6 firm apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/4-inch rings

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup red hot cinnamon candies
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring (optional)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves

Instructions
