Description

Indulge in these delightful Monster Cookies, packed with peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips, and colorful candy pieces. These chewy cookies are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth cravings!

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Mix-Ins:

  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candy-coated chocolate pieces (like M&Ms)
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, oats, and flour. Gradually add to wet mixture and stir until fully mixed. Fold in chocolate chips, candy-coated chocolates, and nuts if using.
  4. Bake: Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon portions on baking sheets. Flatten slightly and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool on sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, bake closer to 10 minutes; for chewier, bake for 12 minutes.
  • Cookies freeze well both baked and unbaked.
  • Experiment with mix-ins like white chocolate chips, raisins, or coconut for variety.
