Flatbreads:
- 2 naan or flatbread rounds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded fontina or provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken (optional)
- fresh basil leaves for topping
- salt and black pepper to taste
Hot Honey:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare flatbreads: Place flatbreads on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, sprinkle minced garlic, add cheeses, red onion, red pepper flakes, and chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Make hot honey: In a saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, and vinegar. Heat gently for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Finish pizzas: Drizzle hot honey over baked pizzas, top with basil, slice, and serve.
Notes
- You can make the hot honey ahead and store it for up to 2 weeks.
- Omit chicken for a vegetarian version. Try adding arugula or goat cheese for variety.
