Description

Flatbreads:

  • 2 naan or flatbread rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded fontina or provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken (optional)
  • fresh basil leaves for topping
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Hot Honey:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare flatbreads: Place flatbreads on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, sprinkle minced garlic, add cheeses, red onion, red pepper flakes, and chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  3. Make hot honey: In a saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, and vinegar. Heat gently for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Finish pizzas: Drizzle hot honey over baked pizzas, top with basil, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • You can make the hot honey ahead and store it for up to 2 weeks.
  • Omit chicken for a vegetarian version. Try adding arugula or goat cheese for variety.
