Description

Indulge in the delightful flavors of this Honey Vanilla Banana Bread. The natural sweetness of ripe bananas and honey, combined with fragrant vanilla, creates a moist and aromatic treat perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Additional:

  • ¼ cup milk
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Add Milk and Nuts: Gently fold in milk and nuts if using. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use browned butter instead of regular melted butter.
  • This bread can be frozen for up to 3 months; wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil.
  • To make it dairy-free, substitute coconut oil or a neutral vegetable oil for butter and use plant-based milk.
