Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Dough
- 1 batch 2-ingredient gluten free pizza dough
Fillings
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup pizza toppings (such as mushrooms, olives, and peppers)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Milk (optional, for brushing the rolls)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a large baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make clean-up easier.
- Prepare and Roll the Dough: Prepare your gluten free pizza dough according to recipe or package instructions. Roll the dough out into a rectangular shape approximately 12 inches by 6 inches (30 cm by 15 cm) to form an even base for the toppings.
- Add the Sauce and Toppings: Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about half an inch of dough free along the edges. Spread your chosen pizza toppings evenly over the sauce, then sprinkle with shredded cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Roll and Slice: Starting from the longest side of the rectangle, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Use a sharp knife to slice the rolled dough into 12-16 equal-sized pieces to create bite-sized pizza rolls.
- Arrange on a Baking Tray: Place the sliced pizza rolls onto the lined baking tray neatly. Optionally, brush the tops and sides with a little milk to help them brown and achieve a golden finish during baking.
- Bake the Pizza Rolls: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes or until they turn golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oven and sprinkle with additional Italian seasoning if desired for extra flavor.
- Serve: Let the pizza rolls cool slightly before serving. These are perfect enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Ensure the dough is gluten free if catering to gluten sensitive individuals.
- You can use any pizza toppings you like, such as pepperoni, bell peppers, or onions.
- Brushing the rolls with milk is optional but helps achieve a nicely browned crust.
- Serve with extra tomato sauce or marinara for dipping.
- These rolls can be reheated in the oven or microwave for leftovers.
