Description

Indulge in a rich and flavorful Garlic Shrimp Gratin, a delightful seafood dish that combines succulent shrimp with a creamy, garlicky sauce, topped with a crispy breadcrumb crust. Perfect for a special dinner or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale

Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Serving:

  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook Shrimp: In a skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant. Add shrimp, season, cook until pink, about 2 minutes per side. Remove shrimp.
  3. Make Sauce: In the same skillet, add white wine, simmer until slightly reduced. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, cook until thickened. Return shrimp to skillet, coat.
  4. Prepare Gratin: Transfer mixture to a baking dish. In a bowl, melt remaining butter, toss with breadcrumbs and parsley. Sprinkle over shrimp.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Serve with lemon wedges.
