Instructions

- Add Flavors: Stir in garlic, then deglaze with white wine. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaf. Simmer for 20–25 minutes.
- Prepare Toppings: Toast baguette slices until crisp. Preheat broiler.
- Assemble and Serve: Ladle soup into bowls, top with baguette slices and Gruyère. Broil until cheese is melted. Serve hot.

- For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth and skip Worcestershire sauce or use a vegan alternative.
