  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Casserole: In a large mixing bowl, combine rice, shredded chicken, broccoli, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Bake: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Optionally, mix crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
