- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Egg and Vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, dark cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Form Dough Balls: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Notes
- For extra texture, roll the dough balls in granulated sugar before baking.
- You can also add chocolate chips or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for a gourmet touch.
