Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to even thickness)
Crust:
- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (crushed, about 1½ cups)
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Coating:
- 1 cup milk
Garnish:
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the coating: In one shallow bowl, pour the milk. In a second bowl, mix together the crushed crackers, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the milk, then press into the cheese and cracker mixture, coating thoroughly on all sides.
- Bake: Place the coated chicken in the prepared baking dish. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or drizzle with melted butter. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until cooked through and crispy.
- Rest and serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
