Ingredients
Scale
Yogurt Mixture
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- Âľ cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- ÂĽ teaspoon sea salt (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the yogurt clusters from sticking during freezing.
- Mix the Yogurt and Strawberries: In a bowl, combine the chopped strawberries, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup if using, and vanilla extract. Stir well until fully blended.
- Form the Clusters: Using a spoon, drop small spoonfuls of the yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into clusters.
- Freeze the Clusters: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 1 to 2 hours, or until the yogurt clusters become firm and set.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
- Dip the Clusters in Chocolate: Once frozen, dip each yogurt cluster into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly. Return the coated clusters to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Top with Sea Salt: If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on each chocolate-covered cluster to enhance the flavor.
- Set the Chocolate: Place the chocolate-coated clusters back in the freezer for another 15 to 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden fully.
- Enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, serve the clusters chilled directly from the freezer as a refreshing and healthy treat.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup to keep it vegan.
- Use plain or vanilla Greek yogurt depending on your preference for sweetness and flavor.
- Ensure the clusters are fully frozen before dipping to help the chocolate set quickly and prevent melting.
- For an extra twist, add chopped nuts or shredded coconut on top before the chocolate hardens.
- Store leftover clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.
