Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Cheesecake Swirl:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Blueberry Swirl:

  • ½ cup blueberry preserves or jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the cookie dough: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
  3. Make the swirl mixtures: In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Assemble the cookies by scooping cookie dough onto the baking sheet, topping each with cream cheese and blueberry preserves. Swirl the toppings into the dough.
  4. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are slightly soft. Cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a stronger blueberry flavor, use homemade blueberry compote instead of jam.
  • Cookies can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
