Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream wet ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the mashed banana, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated.
- Add chocolate chips: Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
