Bread:

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1¾ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ cup milk
Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Prepare the apples: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Toss the chopped apples with 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Make the batter: Cream together granulated sugar and softened butter. Add eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder, and milk, mixing until just combined.
- Layer the batter: Pour half of the batter into the pan. Top with half of the apples and cinnamon-sugar mixture. Repeat layers.
- Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar and milk, then drizzle over the bread.
