For the chicken:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For serving:
- ½ cup barbecue sauce (plus more for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, then rub both sides with olive oil. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Season both sides of the chicken evenly with the spice mixture.

- Rest and serve: Remove from the air fryer, brush with more barbecue sauce if desired, and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use your favorite barbecue sauce—sweet, smoky, or spicy.
- For juicier chicken, let it marinate in the seasoning and sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
